Spring Sale!
Our fresh side pork is basically thick-cut bacon but without any smoking, added salt or other ingredients. Add salt and pepper to taste, as desired. You can add whichever flavorings you like while cooking. My personal favorite is maple syrup!
These are the ends and pieces of our traditional Fresh side pork meat product. Instead of being sliced it is in more of a chunk. It's got the same great flavor and texture, it is just going to be a little bit thicker than what you are used too. You can cut it up after pulling it out of the package or keep them thick and get creative at how you use it.
Be sure to cook for a longer time at a lower temperature on the stove for proper cooking.
Ryan and Jess's Melt-In-Your-Mouth Side Pork Recipe:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Lay the side pork on a sheet pan and season generously with salt, pepper and dried basil. Bake for about 15 mins, depending on how crispy you like it. A few mins before the side pork is done, drizzle with maple syrup so it has a chance to crystallize in the oven.
You may have to adjust this recipe a little with these side pork ends since they will probably be thicker than the slices.
