General FAQs

+
For home delivery customers, the order deadline is every Sunday night at 11:59 pm.

For pickup location customers, the order deadline is always 2 days before your pickup date.

When you log in, you'll see the time left to order and the delivery/pickup date at the top of every page.
+
Your card will be charged just after we pack your order. This is usually the same day it's shipped or loaded for pickup. We will charge you for the exact weight of meat you receive, which should be within 10% of the estimated total you saw at checkout.
+
We're a small farm, not a large warehouse. That means that we may occasionally run out of items from the time you order to the time we pack orders. It's rare but not unheard of.

We will never substitute without your permission. But, we will remove product from your order and not charge you for it. If this puts you below the "free shipping" threshold, we'll still honor the free shipping :)

Pickup FAQs

+
Pickup locations are simply convenient places where we meet you with your order. Our deliveries usually take place in the parking lots of other small businesses that permit us to use their space.
+

We ask that you arrive at your pickup location on your scheduled day and at your scheduled time. You'll meet us at our delivery van. We typically arrive 30 mins before the scheduled pickup time. If it's your first time, we recommend that you show up 15 mins early.

If you did not pre-pay for your order online, then your final total will be due at pickup. You can pay via check, cash, or credit. Once payment is verified, you'll get your order.

Take products home and prepare with tender love and care. Enjoy!

+
All we need is the customer first and last name to give you your order.

- Bring payment if you plan to pay at pickup (although encourage you to pay online prior to pickup).

- Bring coolers (only if traveling more than 1 hour).

- Don’t forget directions!

+
Yes, just be sure payment arrangements are made ahead of time.
+
All meat items come individually packaged, vacuum sealed and frozen. Your items will always be packed in boxes or bags for your convenience.

Home Delivery FAQs

+
In case of a major Monday holiday like Memorial Day and Labor Day, your order will be shipped a day later and will arrive a day later.

In the case of a mid-week holiday like Christmas or New Years, we'll be sure to email you in advance about any upcoming changes!
+
Yes! You'll receive tracking info via email by 10am on Tuesday morning.

SpeeDee Delivery will deliver your order if you live in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, parts of Nebraska, or Illinois.

UPS will deliver if you live in any other state within the contiguous United States
+
No problem. The delivery carrier will leave your order at the front door in an insulated box. Once you arrive home, we simply ask that you would unpack your items as soon as you are able, on the day it's delivered.
+
All meat products are shipped frozen from our farm in a recyclable, insulated box with gel packs to ensure they maintain a safe, chilled temperature while in transit. Orders will be placed at your doorstep (unless you note it otherwise at checkout).

You can expect your order to arrive frozen or partially thawed, definitely at 40F or below and cool to the touch. That way, it's perfectly safe to eat or stick in your freezer for later.

A big factor for this is time in transit. Our carriers deliver on time 98% of the time. In the rare case that your order is delayed and/or your meat arrives warm to the touch or above 40F, we will make it right! Just let us know.
+
If your order arrives past the expected delivery date, be sure to unpack it as soon as possible to ensure items are still at a safe, chilled temperature.
+
It's rare that our food will arrive late or warm. But, in the rare case that your meat arrives above 40F, we'll of course make it right and send a replacement the following week.
