A tender, slow-roasted brisket seasoned with simple spices and braised in rich beef bone broth, garlic, and honey. This oven method is a great alternative to smoked brisket and creates flavorful drippings perfect for a homemade gravy. It’s a comforting, crowd-pleasing main dish—perfect for holidays like Easter or any special family meal.

Ingredients
- Beef Brisket
- (3 1/2 cups) Beef Bone Broth
- (2 tsp) Beef Gelatin
- (2 tsp) Tapioca Flour
- (2 tbsp) Coconut Aminos
- (6, minced) Garlic cloves
- (2 tbsp) 1 lb. Honey- Squeeze Bottle
- (2 tsp) salt
- (1 tsp) pepper
- (2 tsp) onion powder
- (1/2 tsp) chili powder
- (1 tsp) smoked paprika
- (1 tsp) mustard powder
- (2 tbsp) Guardian grains flour
- (4 tbsp) Grass-Fed Butter
Directions
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees F.
- Mix together salt, pepper, onion powder, chili powder, paprika, and mustard powder in a small bowl.
- Pat brisket dry with a paper towel and then rub the spice mix all over the brisket on both sides. Once brisket is fully rubbed, place it fat side up in a roasting pan.
- Add broth, gelatin, tapioca flour, honey, garlic, and coconut aminos to the roasting pan.
- Cover tightly with a lid or tin foil.
- Roast in the oven for about 1 hour and 15 minutes per pound or until brisket is the tenderness you desire.
Once you've reached desired tenderness, spoon out most of the liquid into a saucepan- this will make your gravy. Add flour- we use Guardian Grains and butter slowly, whisking periodically to prevent clumping. Once you've reached your desired consistency, pull out the brisket and slice against the grain.
Serve with your gravy and whatever else you choose for your sides!
We'd recommend glazed carrots, gratin potatoes, green beans and salad with home-baked bread.
