Honey Baked Pork Roast

Instead of traditional cured ham try this recipe! You can season the roast for up to two days before cooking for even better flavor and so you can spend more time with family while they are over and not have to worry about meal prep. Thanks to Chef Erika at Green Earth Wholesome Foods!

Ingredients
- (4#) Boston Butt / Boneless Shoulder Roast
- (3/4 cup) 1# Honey
- (1/4 cup) Brown Sugar
- (2 tsp.) Salt
- (1 tsp.) Black Pepper
- (1 tsp.) Cinnamon
- (1/2 tsp.) Ground Ginger
- (1/4 tsp.) Ground Cloves
- (1/3 cup) Mayonnaise
- (1/4 cup) Dijon Mustard
- (1/4 cup) Apple Cider Vinegar
- (1/2 tsp.) Ground Red Pepper
Directions
Preheat the oven to 300 F. Rub 2 1/2 tbs. of honey over the roast. Mix the brown sugar, salt, black pepper, cinnamon, ground ginger, and ground cloves and rub over the roast (It will stick to the honey). Foil the broil pan and place fat side up. Place the roast in the oven and set 3 to 3 1/2 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 150 F. Pull out of the oven and let rest 15 to 20 minutes. Cut into slices and serve for a great meal!
The Sauce:
While your roast is cooking, mix the rest of the honey, mayonnaise, dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, and the ground red pepper together. Serve with your slices of pork roast.
