Anything can be considered a health food when sourced and prepared properly. For example, take any classic dish--and with a little bit of intention and effort--you can transform your food from inhibiting health...to promoting it. Nourish your family with this quick and easy, comfort-classic!
Note: Conventional buns from the store are typically enriched with iron and other synthetic nutrients and made with flour that has been bleached, refined and laden with glyphosate, or round-up weed killer. For a healthier alternative to store-bought buns, make your own at home with the simple ingredient, quick roll recipe linked below (option for sourdough discard included).

- Stir in the bbq sauce, ketchup/pasta sauce, coconut aminos, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste and 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper. Simmer for about 10-15 minutes, until thickened.
- Serve over toasted buns. Enjoy!
Note: Paul and Jaz’s favorite bbq sauce is Lighthouse BBQ Sauce, a Minot based company that makes the best, clean, sauces inspired by his Grandma’s Mississippi home style cooking. (Link is above!)
