Creamy Ham & Potato Soup
This delectable soup was the perfect way for us to warm up after a long day of working outside in the North Dakota winter weather! ❄☃ This creamy soup will leave everyone's bellies full and mouths watering after every perfect spoonful of juicy ham and potato goodness.


  • (1/2 Cup) Organic Pasture-Raised Butter
  • (1) Organic Onion, finely chopped
  • (1 Cup) Organic Carrots, diced
  • (1/2 Cup) Organic Celery, diced
  • (3 Cups) Organic Potatoes, peeled and diced
  • (4 Cloves) Garlic, minced
  • (3 Cups) Pork Smoked Ham
  • (1/3 Cup) Guardian Grains All-Purpose Flour
  • (3 Cups) Pastured Chicken Broth
  • (2 Cups) Organic Pasture-Raised Heavy Whipping Cream
  • (1 Pinch) Salt, if needed. (Adjust to your taste)
  • Fresh Cracked Black Pepper
  • (1 tsp.) Fresh Organic Rosemary
  • (1 tsp.) Fresh Organic Thyme


  1. Heat the butter in a pot over medium heat. Sauté the onion, carrots, celery until beginning to soften (about 4 mins).
  2. Add the ham and potatoes, cook for 2 mins, then add the garlic, rosemary and thyme. Sauté until fragrant (about 30 sec.).
  3. Mix the flour through and cook for 2 mins.* If looking for a gluten free option, replace with almond flour.
  4. Stir in broth, mixing all the ingredients together. Increase heat and bring to a boil until potatoes and just fork tender, about 10-12 mins.
  5. Reduce heat to medium-low, add the milk and stir over the heat until thickened (about 5 mins).
