We will be in contact with you about exact cost and pick-up/delivery logistics.
These pigs will be harvested on October 5th. At that point we will know the hanging weights and send you an invoice for your half or whole. We are asking $2.00/# based off of the hanging weight. These pigs will average around 160# hanging. You can expect to bring home around 100 lbs. in a whole and 50 lbs. in a half pig.
The pork will dry age for one week before Bowdon Meats will cut it (smoked products will take an additional week of processing). Once they are finished, they will e-mail you an invoice and call you to pay for the processing. This cost can vary depending on what you have cut, but we usually figure an additional ~$2.20/# hanging weight for processing. This may vary depending on what you have smoked, sausages, etc. Please note that Bowdon Meats must be paid before they allow anything to be picked up.
We can pick up your pork for you and bring it with for you to pick up at our scheduled deliveries OR you can drive to Bowdon and pick it up when it is finished. IF you pick it up at Bowdon, then us (Nourished by Nature) & Bowdon Meats must be paid before you can take your pork home. If you would like us to bring your pork to a scheduled delivery, then you can pay us for the pork itself when we meet you.
Please note that the above pricing is approximate and that you will be charged based off of what your half or whole weighs on the rail. The pricing also does NOT include processing fees which you will be responsible for.
